CLEAN PROJECT

Community Led Environmental and Agro-processing Network (CLEAN) Project.

CLEAN  project aims to contribute to employment creation for young people in Kakamega, Kenya by empowering them with technical skills on peanut agro-processing and value addition, product marketing and entrepreneurship skills. The project will enhance youth ability to diversify opportunities that will increase their income and improve livelihoods.

GOAL

To economically empower youths from Kakamega through peanut agro processing.

PROJECT SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

1. To capacity build the youths with entrepreneurship and financial literacy and digital marketing skills.
2. To form a community network of peanut processing value chain.
3. To Generate income to support organizations thematic areas of focus.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Established and fully operational peanut butter processing unit

Strengthen capacity of youth to engage in ground-nut processing and value addition.

Increased income levels among youth through improved yields and access to better markets. ​

Contribute to local food security by increasing groundnut production. ​

Build the capacity of youth to become self-reliant agropreneurs.
